About Nancy

Nancy Kidd, a former Juvenile Detention Center teacher, loves her husband and two grown sons, playing piano to make people smile and the idea of finding out what the next joy around the corner might be.

In her own words

I write to be a voice for people whose stories need to be heard, whose circumstances need to be understood, and whose existence/worth deserves to be recognized and honored.

I write so others may, as I continue trying to do, release their firm grip on “what they ‘know’ to be true” and, as a result, learn to judge less and accept and embrace more.

It is my hope that, through my writing, others will see with new perspectives and feel more deeply the bonds that connect us all.
